Cole Roofing Company

Built on more than 90 years of tradition and commitment.

In 1919, John H. Cole founded John H. Cole & Sons. At the close of WWI, he recognized the need for gutter and spout services as well as the development of home heating through internal duct systems. Word of his commitment to superior workmanship and customer service spread quickly and the company rapidly prospered.

By 1948, under the persistent direction of Cole Sr's son, Roland H. Cole (aka Bud), the business really began to expand and flourish, developing experience in a multitude of roofing types for both commercial and residential owners. Incorporated in 1950, the company officially changed its name to Cole Roofing Company, Inc. in 1998.

Today, the company is still family owned and operated in Baltimore, MD. Led by Bud's son, William Roland Cole, a fourth generation of employees continues to carry out the company's tradition of building and repairing roofs for some of the region's most demanding commercial projects.

From our very first shingle to the newly installed green roof atop the Natty Boh Building—and thousands of job sites in between—Cole Roofing continues to deliver on Cole Sr.'s original promise. More than 90 years later, the company's commitment to quality and its founding principles is widely recognized and respected throughout the architectural and construction communities.
